Villa Apanemia Mare in Agia Pelagia in Boukari / South East Corfu The villa is located within a 40000 square meter seaside property filled with olive trees cultivated using solely organic agricultural methods. The property itself is situated in the southeast coast of Corfu island, 25 kilometers from Corfu town right on a gentle hill slope offering magnificent sea views as it is just 30 meters off the sea shore. From the terrace, early in the morning, you can enjoy the sunrise while listening to the faint splashes of water made by the fishermen trying to bring their nets in. You may also try a cool morning swim or have some moments of relaxation in the outdoor jacuzzi which is right next to you. Later on you can start exploring the whereabouts of the villa consisting mainly of tall everlasting olive trees and their refreshing shady areas, fruit as well as aromatic plants and picturesque paths. For the hiking enthusiasts and within half an hour walking distance from the villa you can find the traditional village of Chlomos on top of the so called "Merovigli" hill with its narrow alleys, scenic neighborhoods and lovely views. Needless to say that sunset as seen from on top of the mountain is unforgettable. For the bolder ones and the genuine nature lovers the "Korission" lagoon is 5 kilometers away. Characterized in bygone days as a Natura 2000 area and protected ever since this landscape has enormous ecological interest mostly due to its virgin golden sandy beaches, sand dunes, cedar forest and its use as a resting place by a large number of rare birds. Much nearer though and more specifically 1 kilometer south of the property lies the tiny but nevertheless very beautiful harbour of "Boukari" with an array of restaurants serving mostly fish and a litlle bit further south is the village of "Petritis" whose fishing boats and fishermen are the ones providing us with their daily catch. The "Mesoggi' village is 3.5 kilometers towards the north and right next to it is "Moraitika" where a multitude of restaurants, shops, supermarkets and hotels can be found. Morover, here you can find local taxi services as well as a bus station with regular routes to Corfu town. The sea in vicinity of the villa is famous amongst locals for its crystal clear water, the near absence of sounds and the tranquility this exact quietness offers along with the lushly planted surrounding landscape. The somewhat magical beach in front of the property has pebbles, bushes and trees stretching literally all the way to the tip of the waves. You can spend time swimming or sunbathing in a state of total relaxation under the hot sun and /or prefer the companion of a good book under the shady spots. September and October is a period well liked by many due to the growing shadowy areas, the softer sun light and the chillier atmosphere. Winter on the other hand has a distinctive beauty and grace offering totally serene and calm moments especially when sitting by and enjoying the warmth coming from the fireplace while overlooking the white water of the rough seas. Winter's also is the time of year that the picking of olives takes place and you can be participating at the process earning yourself your very own extra virgin olive oil. During spring time the Corfiot nature is truly magical, everything is blooming. Spring's also the Easter season. Corfu town and most of the villages too, host a number of religious processions along with the participation of philharmonics and choirs giving the tune and on top of that there is a large number of outdoor fairs that takes place seemingly everywhere. Finally the villa has made a serious provision for and therefore is friendly to people with kinetic problems or other special needs. ACCOMMODATION : The Villa includes three bedrooms, all of them featuring en suite bathrooms. Two out of the three bedrooms have double beds and the third comes with a twin.
